To VI HSE Committee,
The attached summary from Keller and Heckman indicates that Cal-OSHA has lowered the priority of classifying PVC dust from priority 1 down to priority 2 on the advice of its Health Effects Advisory Committee. This is positive news and will put off for an indefinite period the review of PVC dust for the reasons stated in the document. Thank you to Larry Halprin and Diana Graham at Keller and Heckman for their persistence on this issue with Cal-OSHA. Keller and Heckman will continue to monitor the PEL reviews as it might relate to any ingredients used in PVC compounds. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
Regards,
Rich
Hi Rich:
Attached is a summary of the more significant aspects of the March 7, 2017 HEAC meeting. You will be pleased to hear that PVC dust was moved from Priority 1 to Priority 2.
Best regards, Larry
Hi Diana and Larry,
Following up on this meeting at Cal/OSHA last month. Did either of you get a chance to attend, and if so, are there any notes you can share with the VI on any discussions on PVC dust? Thanks,
Rich
